Walkers took the concept of over-ear hearing protection and brought it into the 21st century with a complete redesign that moves the control board and microphones usually found in the muffs to the headband. This feature allows units like the Walkers XCEL 100 Digital Electronic Muffs to be slimmer and smaller than older earmuffs that prevent a solid cheek weld.Each pair of Walkers XCEL 100 Digital Electronic Muffs features Variable Dynamic Sound Suppression, as well as wind-noise reduction properties and a Hi-Gain Omnidirectional Microphone that all work in conjunction to provide premium sound reduction and enhancement in a compact package. The earmuffs are powered by two AAA batteries, and the redesigned headband provides enhanced comfort. The unit provides 26 decibels of sound reduction.
