Also while in safe, the rifle features a First-Stage Lockout, which prevents the first stage of the trigger pull from moving at all while the rifle is on safe, giving shooters an immediate notification that the safety is engaged. Finally, even during the trigger pull, the ticker is blocked until the first stage is cleared.In terms of performance, the TriggerTech Remington 700 Special Trigger makes use of the company’s revolutionary Frictionless Release Technology. The hardened 440C stainless steel components inside the gun don’t have any wear surfaces, leading to a softer, lighter trigger pull that won’t change over time. Trigger-pull weight is adjustable through an externally accessible set screw, giving you the ability to adjust both stages of the pull.
