Solid Copper Hollow Points expand to double caliber, .800†or more, while deploying six sharp cutting petals. Penetration is a key attribute of Solid Copper too, and this 125 gr. SCHP zips through barriers such as heavy clothing, wallboard or a windshield without deflecting or breaking apart. Velocity from real-world pistols is 1,250 fps for 434 ft/lbs of muzzle energy.
Our .40 caliber 125 gr. SCHP penetrates 14 to 15 inches in ballistic gel while typical six-petal expansion measures .800†to .820†with 100% weight retention. Accuracy is enhanced by roll sizing the bullets after manufacture to assure perfect concentricity and uniformity, making our .40 S&W as accurate as a match load.
