ODIN Works 7.62 Atlas CompensatorTiming and tuning a compensator can be tedious work but the ODIN Works 7.62 Atlas Compensator makes quick work of both the installation and tuning. The modular design means that only the sleeve and the cap need to be timed, no shims, no crush washer, no fussing. Furthermore, the sleeve is Titanium, reducing weight without sacrificing strength and durability. The core and the cap are both made of 416R stainless steel for toughness and longevity. They also feature a Black Nitride finish for protection and their looks work quite well with the Titanium sleeve, giving the set an attractive 2-Tone finish.This variant is designed for 7.62 (30 cal) projectiles and features 5/8-24 threads.NOTE:416R is a Crucible brand steel and it was formulated specifically for barrels. Most types of steel, including normal 416SS are not designed to be used in freezing temperatures. But this steel was designed to operate in arctic temperatures, up to -40F. 416R also has greater accuracy potential than normal 416SS and 4150 steel due to its ability to take highly defined rifling and machining cuts.NOTE:Be SURE to check your AR Barrel threads when you are installing a new comp.
