Converts top loading Mauser 98 rifles into detachable magazine models without alteration.All that is needed is to remove the military floorplate & spring and replace with this magazine.Magazine is steel, with a blued finish.Fits long action cartridges .25-06, .270, 30-06 and 8mm.If using pointed cartridges, a u-shaped cut-out is required at the front to facilitate the slightly longer cartridge.
