Advanced Dual-Spring System Gives You a Softer-Recoiling, More Reliable Pistol
These are replacement inner and outer recoil springs for Colt 1911 pistols chambered in 9mm Luger that use the new Colt Dual Spring Recoil Systemâ„¢ originally developed in 2011 for the USMC M45A1 pistol. The inner and outer springs work together to provide enhanced reliability and extended recoil spring service life up to 15,000 rounds. (The standard interval for replacing standard 1911 recoil springs is 5,000 rounds.)
- Tempered spring steel
- Correct spring tension for 45 ACP ammo
- Use ONLY in Colt 1911 Commander Model pistols or clones chambered in 45 ACP
- Other required components sold separately (described below)
These inner and outer recoil springs must be used in conjunction with the other two parts of the Colt Dual Spring Recoil Systemâ„¢: a dedicated guide rod and recoil spring plug.
