BA 11.5″ 5.56 Gov’t Carbine Modern Series FSB Barrel
5.56-chambered with a government profile, this 11.5″ barrel from the Ballistic Advantage Modern Series is machined from 4150 chrome moly vanadium steel and features a QPQ corrosion-resistant finish with QPQ-coated M4 feedramp extensions. The barrel comes with an F-marked front sight base (FSB).
The quench-polish-quench finish of Ballistic Advantage barrels gives each of them added characteristics not found in other barrels. This specialized nitrocarburizing case hardening improves the barrel’s corrosion resistance and converts the surface without risk of dimensional buildup. The QPQ process technique is used when a barrel needs: improved wear and corrosion resistance, natural lubricity or improved fatigue strength.
