Description
Tela Impex is not an ammunition manufacturer. The veteran-owned Floridian company sources, imports, thoroughly tests, and distributes ammunition that was made in foreign nations. This particular 5.45×39 ammunition is from Azerbaijan – a former Soviet republic in East Europe – and it’s a right good choice for target practice with any AK-74 rifle (to be sure: this ammo will not work in an AK-47).
rThis ammo leverages the low production cost of steel in a couple of important ways. Its 65 grain FMJ’s bimetal jacket is almost entirely made out of steel. As such, it will attract a magnet, and it accordingly isn’t suited for target shooting at all indoor ranges. Its case is made of steel as well. Steel cases are technically reloadable, but consensus holds that it’s too much of a pain in the neck to even bother trying. As such, this ammo offers the same value to handloaders and non-handloaders alike.
rDon’t fret about corrosion when you shoot with Tela Impex! They don’t import corrosive ammo. These rounds’ Berdan primers pose no threat to your rifle.
