rThis cartirdge’s 240 grain bullet is a semi-jacketed hollow point. As its name implies, the SJHP splits the difference between a JHP and an LHP. It’s got some jacket – which promotes cleaner performance and higher weight retention after impact – but that jacket doesn’t totally surround the hollow point, thus enabling it to give wider expansion at lower velocities.
rThis round certainly doesn’t disappoint in the power department. Fire one of those 240gr SJHPs out of a 6†barrel, and you’ll hit 25 yards with just shy of 800 ft lbs energy.
