This 12 Gauge shotshell from Federal’s Power-Shok line of ammunition is loaded with 41 pellets of #4 buckshot. The .24†diameter pellets may be smaller in size than other buckshot and thus have less of the mass needed for deeper penetration, but the greater number of them that you can fit into a hull means they deliver damage to a wider surface area. Whether you would engage that characteristic to topple coyote or a home intruder, you’ll appreciate #4 buckshot’s devastating spread.
rThis shell features Federal’s Triple Plus wad system, which works to better align its shot to tighten its spread downrange. The shell’s shot is also able to better retain its spherical form as it rockets down the barrel thanks to its granulated plastic buffering material, increasing its accuracy even further. Federal’s own responsive primer and even burning propellant only do more to complement so reasonably priced a shell.
