rThis is PMC’s SFX line of ammunition: made for cops, but no less suitable for the regular, unbadged Joe’s self-defense needs. The round’s signature feature is its Starfire bullet. The jacketed hollow point’s notched jacket causes it to spread five pointed petals outward, thus enabling it to transfer more energy to its target – faster, and with reduced risk over-penetration. Despite not being bonded, the Starfire’s nonmagnetic jacket is extremely tough. It’s why the bullet consistently conserves over 99% of its mass when fired into bare ballistic gelatin (which is approximately as dense as muscle tissue).
rPMC doesn’t load a metallic component that they didn’t produce in their own South Korean production facility. They make everything out of premium raw materials, and exert close control over all their manufacturing processes, which translates to – you guessed it – intensely dependable performance.
