Description
We know you’re a real peach of a person who’d never hurt a fly … unless you had to in self-defense. That’s why we’ll rest a little easier knowing you’ve got Speer’s LE Gold Dot Duty 9mm +P ammo in your carry weapon’s magazine. It’s got a great bullet and supporting components, and it’s loaded to meet an LEO’s high standards. (That’s a law enforcement professional, not someone born between July 23rd and August 23rd.)
rThis round’s bullet is a middleweight at 124 grains, and optimized for self-defense as a Gold Dot jacketed hollow point. Its jacket is electrochemically fused to its lead core for superior concentricity and durability. At an amped up muzzle velocity of 1,220 fps it exhibits a surprisingly flat trajectory. With its virtually inseparable jacket it pierces common urban barriers without losing its weight or its ability to expand correctly following penetration. Even through safety glass, the most resilient barrier in the FBI test protocol, this Gold Dot bullet retains about 84 percent of its weight and expands to over 1.5 times its original diameter.
rThis round’s primer is made by CCI to spark up fast and without introducing corrosive elements to a pistol’s bore. Its new brass case is plated with nickel to improve functionality in a semi-auto and resist corrosion. Nickel’s natural luster also makes this round easier to spy in a pistol’s dark chamber.
rThis is +P ammunition, loaded to a higher pressure to increase its muzzle velocity. Most modern 9mm handguns are designed to absorb such increased chamber pressure, but do make certain yours is one of them.
