This 9mm cartridge by Federal features its manufacturer’s own Hi-Shok projectile. While its hollow point nose cavity does not feature the center post design like one of Federal’s more recently innovated bullets may have included, the Hi-Shok still certainly takes care of business. In our own ballistic gel test, this bullet reliably penetrated over two feet, and on average expanded to over one third of an inch in diameter. The lightweight bullet causes relatively muzzle flip as well, so you can quickly and accurately inflict a great deal of damage when you’re shooting Hi-Shoks.
