rThis Fiocchi Hyperformance Defense cartridge features a jacketed frangible projectile. Its sintered solid copper core is designed to reduce itself into small fragments upon impact with a hard surface, which virtually eliminates the risk of harmful splash-back. Its copper shell prevents the bullet from breaking apart during feeding. Its polymer tip makes the little bullet exceedingly aerodynamic, and also triggers injurious expansion during penetration of soft tissue.
rThis round’s lead-free bullet will not scatter around toxic particles during ignition or after impact with a solid surface, which makes it the healthier choice for ringing steel at close range or training indoors. Its Boxer primer, which is also lead-free, only further preserves the shooter’s respiratory health. The frangible projectile does have a higher likelihood of disintegrating when it strikes drywall or soft tissue – that decreases the risk of over-penetration, but does not do away with it altogether.
