This 22 LR from Aguila’s Sniper SubSonic line of ammunition features a substantial 60 grain solid lead projectile loaded into a diminutive rimfire primed brass casing. The result is something similar to a 22 Short casing with a super-long bullet, which with its 950 fps muzzle velocity will not register very loudly when fired.
This cartridge is optimal for discrete plinking and small game hunting, as well as pest control in areas where the sounds of gunshots are not heavily favored. It will work well in many semi-automatic firearms, especially ones with higher barrel twist ratios that convey better accuracy.
