This 22 LR cartridge from CCI’s Copper-22 line of ammunition features a 21 grain projectile. The bullet owes its great lightness — just more than half the weight most commonly offered by its caliber — to its compressed copper-polymer construction. Because its projectile is devoid of lead, this round is safe to fire in areas where the use of toxic ammunition is barred, including California. This round makes up for the lesser momentum of its light bullet with its 1,850 fps muzzle velocity, which also makes it exceptionally accurate. Furthermore, the bullet’s hollow point design means that it will expand rapidly within soft targets, making it a bonafide varmint buster!
