Description
This 12 Gauge 00 buckshot load by Federal is equipped to do pretty much anything. Filling your freezer with venison? Check. Putting down vandalous hogs? Double check. Making a home intruder wish he had never learned about the concept of home intrusion? Triple check.
rThis shell’s nine pellets of double-aught are loaded to a muzzle velocity of 1,600 fps. That alone makes it a force to be reckoned with, but Federal has an extra special trick up their sleeve: tungsten alloy. Unlike standard lead which has a density of 11 g/cc, this shell’s non-lead shot has a density of 18 g/cc. In simple speak, each pellet is almost two-thirds heavier than normal, which means it carries significantly more momentum to ensure massive energy transferral accompanied by devastatingly deep penetration.
rFederal doesn’t squander such powerful shot’s potential by supporting its performance with anything less than premium components. Of special note is this shell’s FliteControl wad, which enhances pattern efficiency by folding out petals around its gas seal. These make sure the wad neatly detaches from the shot just after ignition, so the latter can fly in a tight formation while receiving extra energy to exert downrange.
