Description
It’s not just any old jacketed hollow point. It’s the eXtreme Terminal Performance – Hornady’s trusty JHP which is designed to feed efficiently, fly accurately, and initiate calamitous terminal expansion under a wide range of circumstances.
rThis round’s bullet weighs in at 147 grains: too heavy to achieve a supersonic velocity at standard pressure, but still sure to build up enough energy to cycle a semi-auto. The XTP’s jacketed rim allows it to avoid becoming damaged on the feeding ramp before reliably sliding into the chamber. Its undeformed nose profile and swaged lead core both promote consistent accuracy. And once the XTP connects with the threat, its tapered jacket and notched rim work in tandem to supply rapid expansion.
rWithout good supporting components, the XTP can’t do squat. That’s why Fiocchi loads these American-made cartridges with dependable primers, low-fouling propellant, and smooth-cycling reloadable nickel-plated brass cases which resist tarnishing and corrosion in storage and out in the field.
