Description
Established in 1952 as Matra Provincial Metal Works, MFS is an ammunition manufacturer located in Sirok, Hungary. Originally established to produce military ammunition, MFS has been manufacturing ammo for civilian shooting applications since the 1950s.
Packaged in 20-round boxes with 25 boxes per case, this MFS 7.62×39 ammunition is non-corrosive, Berdan primed, and perfect for long-term storage. Each new production cartridge is loaded with a 125 grain jacketed soft point projectile. Producing effective terminal mushrooming, these rounds can be used to hunting, self-defense, or recreational plinking. These loads feature the same construction and exterior ballistic characteristics as their corresponding FMJ versions. This allows for seamless transition from practice rounds to practical rounds.
Leaving the muzzle at a velocity of 2400 feet per second, each round generates 1600 foot pounds of muzzle energy. This economically priced ammo is manufactured with progressive burning smokeless powders and zinc-plated steel cases. This zinc coating reduces chamber wear and provides smoother extraction than lacquer or polymer coated steel.
