Description
You didn’t choose the 6.5 Creedmoor life. The 6.5 Creedmoor life chose you. There’s no denying your innate need to shoot targets over impressively long distances. There’s only an ever-present need to buy more ammo – and we’ve got some of the best by Hornady.
rThe hallowed Nebraskan manufacturer’s American Gunner series 6.5 CM ammo is loaded with hollow point boat tail projectiles. Now, make no mistake: the HPBT is a poor choice for deer and sheep hunting, as its hollow point nose cavity does not in fact allow it to expand after piercing hide. The HPBT’s nose cavity only exists because its thin, concentric jacket was filled with molten lead in order to ensure its core is voidless and perfectly contoured to its internal geometry.
rThe 140 grain HPBT uses its rotationally stable core and jacket to deliver excellent accuracy. The bullet also lives up to the 6.5 CM’s reputation for having a flat trajectory. Once the 0.580 G1 BC bullet acquires a 2,690 fps muzzle velocity (24†bbl), its trajectory to 300 yards ought to rise a mere 6.5†above the bore line.
rWhether you fire this American-made ammo at targets or small game, you can expect real smooth functionality from Hornady’s select primers, propellant, and new reloadable brass cases. Ten boxes of ammo per case!
