There are two ways to get your grubby paws on 5.56x45mm M193 spec ammo. The first is to join the U.S. Armed Forces, which is nice because they’ll also issue you really tasty crackers and peanut butter to spread on them. The second is to order this American Eagle label ammunition by Federal Premium. Sadly, you’ll still have to purchase crackers and peanut butter separately if you take the second route.
rThis isn’t technically M193 spec ammo. The X prefix indicates that it was made for the commercial market instead of the public sector. Aside from that, it’s the same jazz the Army is playing. Each round is topped off with a steel-free nonmagnetic 55 grain full metal jacket boat tail projectile. It’s fit for action in all 5.56 rifles, including the AR you built using nothing but your own two hands and a pile of AR parts.
rMany of our beautiful customers ask us if this ammo’s cases were previously fired because their shoulders are discolored. We assure them that they are in fact brand new cases – they were heat-treated, like all 5.56 cases should be, but they weren’t polished up afterward for enhanced cosmetics. This ammo is loaded with sealed noncorrosive Boxer primers, and they are reloadable.
