Description
If you’re shopping for 45 ACP ammunition, then you probably already have soft spot in your heart for all things American-made. Independence checks that all-important box, because it’s made in the same Idahoan factory that Speer ammo comes from!
rThis cartridge is designed for target shooting. Not to suggest that a threat would be particularly pleased about getting plastered by a 230 grain full metal jacket, although the FMJ’s inability to expand does mean it’s likely to pass clean through a human-sized target. This round’s FMJ clears the muzzle at a rate of 830 fps, and its lead core and gilding metal jacket ensure that it will not attract any magnet that’s placed near it.
rIndependence doesn’t remanufacture ammunition. Each round in this box features a virgin brass case that is absolutely worth hanging onto for future handloading. This particular ammo is packaged loose. That means all 500 rounds occupy the same plastic bag inside the same cardboard box – the high-volume shooter’s preferred approach to packaging.
