rThis American-made round is loaded to a higher pressure than standard. Whereas a conventional 38 Special load’s max chamber pressure is 17,500 PSI, a +P round’s max pressure is 18,500 PSI. It’s not a world of difference, but it does mean you may feel more recoil – as well as strike your target with more energy. Make very sure your revolver is rated for +P before firing this ammo, or else you could damage it (and possibly injure yourself while you’re at it).
rThis round’s 125 grain semi-jacketed hollow point is built for terminal expansion. Its incomplete jacket still reduces barrel fouling and prevents core/jacket separation, but also doesn’t stand in the way of rapid expansion. The brass case that seats the bullet is nickel plated – added protection against tarnishing, and reduced metal-on-metal friction to boot. Safe for lever-action rifles!
