rThe lead semi-wadcutter bullet owes most of its popularity to its usefulness for competitive target shooting. The LSWC’s shoulder and flat nose punch a clean hole into a paper target. The LSWC is also just a little bit easier to slide into a chamber, which is why many prefer it over a wadcutter for speed reloading.
