Description
You don’t want to put ten bullets through one target. You want to put ten bullets through one hole, which, incidentally, happened to be the motto of one Mister Joyce W. Hornady himself. This 308 Win cartridge is for sharp shooters who will not compromise when it comes to their rifle’s target shooting ammunition.
rThis round features a 168 grain bullet, a classic weight for the 308 Win, and a hollow point boat tail at that. The bullet doesn’t drill into the air, but rather slips through it courtesy of its streamlined secant ogive profile and perfectly angled boat tail base. This bullet furthermore boasts a swaged lead core, the uniform density of which promotes balance in flight, in much the same way that its AMP jacket’s concentricity does. High ballistic coefficient, unfailing balance, and a stable muzzle velocity — these are the things a match bullet needs, and which this one delivers in spades.
rThis round’s brass is Hornady’s best, specially selected after having passed an exacting criteria for strength and uniformity. Keep it for handloading, or at the very least a frugal friend who handloads.
