Description
This 300 AAC Blackout cartridge from Fiocchi’s Exacta line of rifle ammunition features a 220 grain projectile, which is very heavy for its caliber. The purpose of so hefty a bullet is to assure that this round’s muzzle velocity never exceeds the speed of sound, giving it a softer report that you can enjoy for unobtrusive training or plinking.
rThis round’s lesser velocity is offset by the tremendous accuracy of its Sierra MatchKing bullet. The MatchKing boasts a high ballistic coefficient courtesy of its boat tail design, and accordingly exhibits a flat trajectory and improved resistance to wind drift while in flight. This bullet’s rotational stability is optimized by its exceedingly concentric and thin jacket, and its narrow hollow point meplat enhances its aerodynamic profile markedly. (The hollow point does not serve to cause expansion during penetration.)
rThis round further features a responsive and non-corrosive Boxer primer, clean burning propellant, and uniform brass casing which is of great use for handloading.
