rThis Winchester USA round is a simple target blaster, with a 50 grain full metal jacket bullet that (A) cannot expand, and (B) cannot attract a magnet. Its 760 fps muzzle velocity means it’ll punch a 5-yard target with around 63 ft lbs of kinetic energy.
rWe did the math. If your pistol has 0.5†high sights, and you aim to 200 yards with this cartridge, the bullet would have to rise by about 40†before striking its target with 37 ft lbs of energy. At 300 yards, drop would be about -144â€. We tried to calculate data for a 1,000-yard zero, but it broke our ballistic calculator. Long story short: the 25 ACP isn’t isn’t a long-range cartridge, as you surely already know.
