rThis round features a classic 55 grain projectile. It’s not designed to deliver terminal expansion – but with its nearly Mach 3 muzzle velocity it pretty much doesn’t have to. This bullet’s fast muzzle velocity, uniformly distributed lead core, concentric copper jacket, and perfectly tapered base all contribute to its high ballistic coefficient of 0.269. Such a bullet only has to rise about 1.5 inches when you’re zeroed in at 200 yards, and doesn’t become subsonic until around the 775 yard mark!
rThis round’s military grade brass shell casing demands to be reloaded several times, and its primer offers all the sensitivity one should expect of a joint effort between Federal and Lake City. This round’s propellant and primer both light up nice and clean to keep your rifle rust-free and fully operational.
