This round’s 55 grain full metal jacket has a conventional lead core, but it has a bi-metal jacket instead of a gilding metal one. With the exception of its thin copper-washed exterior, a bi-metal jacket is made of pure steel. Why is that important? Because many ranges ban bullets that can attract a magnet! rThis ammo’s cases are made of steel instead of brass. Now, steel cases aren’t as elastic as brass ones, which means two things: they’re not reloadable, and they let more fouling enter a rifle’s action. But if you don’t handload and don’t mind spending a little extra time cleaning your gear, those aren’t huge shortcomings.
