Description
This 223 Rem cartridge from Hornady’s Steel Match line of ammunition is a great way to lower your shooting expenditures without doing away with the great performance you demand from your ammunition. The round owes its appealing price tag to its steel casing, a significantly less expensive option than the brass alternative. The casing is coated in a very thin layer of polymer to assure reliable cycling, without leaving behind an undesirable residue in its wake. As is always the case with steel casings, you’ll not have fun reloading this round, but that alone is the only significant disadvantage to consider before investing in it.
rThis cartridge dons an intensely accurate 55 grain Match Grade projectile. The bullet’s narrow meplat thoroughly heightens its ballistic coefficient, and its thin and exceptionally thin jacket ensures its rotational stability for accurate flight. The bullet also features a cannelure that is cast rather than pressed into its body.
