Description
These training rounds from Federal are great for rifle shooters who spend some of their time indoors as well as for private landowners that want to get in plenty of practice without dumping as much lead into their soil-based berms. Each of these .223 rounds is loaded with a 75-grain TMJ (Total Metal Jacket) which has its lead core completely encapsulated with copper; this prevents excess leading of the bore while also keeping a shooter’s hands cleaner for less inadvertent ingestion and greater overall health. This TMJ’s heavier weight is great for replicating the recoil and ballistics of loads meant for self-defense or long-range precision shooting at a cheaper price that is appropriate for plinking. For the best stability, it’s recommended that these rounds be run through a fast twist rate barrel like 1:8
