Description
CCI’s Quiet-22 line of rimfire ammunition is perfect for the considerate varmint hunter — one who doesn’t want to jostle their neighbors out of bed every time they’d like to dispatch a squirrel, and one who’d like to make certain that said squirrel’s pain and suffering are kept at a bare minimum.
r
rThis cartridge features a very meager muzzle velocity: only 710 fps, far, far less than what it would take to upset the sound barrier. As the result its report is quiet as a churchmouse. You won’t even need hearing protection with a report that is 75 percent softer than a standard 22 LR’s.
r
rThis round’s 40 grain segmented hollow point projectile splits apart into three pieces during penetration. Such terminal effect is all but guaranteed to find at least one organ a squirrel needs to stay perched on a tree branch. This round delivers excellent accuracy as well, but bear in mind that you may need to manually cycle your semi-automatic while firing it.
