These projectiles measure .224 inches in diameter and are appropriate for handloading extremely precise cartridges in .223 Remington. At 69 grains, these bullets will dependably stabilize from common AR and bolt-gun twist rates like 1:9 and 1:10 and are capable of yielding 1/4 MOA groups with the right recipes and barrels. This is made possible by the elongated body, boat-tail rear, and secant ogive which are derived from the original MatchKing projectile. As an open-tip design, the TMK exhibits no exposed lead which cuts down on fouling left behind in top tier firearms.
rSierra has improved on the bullet’s base construction by adding a polymer tip over the projectile’s hollow cavity in order to act as a windshield for increased drag resistance in-flight. In addition, the TMK’s acetyl resin tip improves feed ramp contact for reliable function with magazine-fed rifles of any action.
