Description
Federal Premium’s Champion series 22 LR ammunition is good for plinking. It is good for target shooting. It is good for sending squirrels flying off their treetop perches. And when you have a case of 3,250 rounds, you can enjoy all three of those great pastimes for a dog’s age!
rThis cartrdge’s copper-plated hollow point bullet truly does it all. The improvement isn’t enormous, but copper plating does help to sustain a firearm’s accuracy by decelerating barrel fouling. You’re certainly not wasting such cost-effective projectiles if you only march them through a bullseye, but their hollow points do make their terminal ballistics a little more effective at whacking small game as well.
rThis ammo’s bullets weigh 36 grains instead of the standard 40 grains. That lowers production costs for Federal, as they invest 29.71 fewer ounces of lead into producing a whole case of ammo. Lighter bullets also achieve a faster muzzle velocity before proceeding to exhibit flatter trajectories, although they still generate enough chamber pressure to fully cycle semi-automatic firearms. Ten boxes of loose-packed ammo per case!
