Description
This 12 gauge shotshell from Remington’s HyperSonic Steel line of ammunition is designed to compensate for the impact that steel’s lesser density than lead has on performance while you’re out hunting duck or goose. It achieves this with its powerful primary propellant charge, which sends its #1 steel shot pellets out of the muzzle at a blistering velocity of 1,700 fps. The shell prevents creating excessive chamber pressure thanks to its partitioned off ignition chamber, where a smaller amount of powder is ignited by the shell’s hot burning primer before the rest of the powder is allowed to burn.
rThis shell’s specially engineered Xelerator Wad ensures that even the fastest flying shot can maintain a tight pattern downrange. With such velocity and accuracy, the distance you’ll have to lead with your aim while firing at a duck in flight about 40 yards away will be lessened by about eight inches. That means less chance of missing or insufficiently wounding the bird — your dog will love you for it.
