This 410 Bore shotshell by Winchester is loaded with 11/16 ounces of #7.5 lead shot. Its approximately 240 .095†diameter pellets are called “dove shot†for good reason — the range and kill zone they deliver are perfect for taking dove and other dove-sized upland game. This shot is hard and round, which along with the shell’s hinged wad will give you a consistent pattern. Not to say that the 410 Bore is known for bruising shoulders, but that this shell’s hinged wad absorbs a goodly sum of recoil will make for a more comfortable hunt, and also let you quickly empty both barrels of your shotgun with greater accuracy.
