This 20 Gauge shotshell by Winchester is loaded with 1 1/16 ounces of #5 shot. You’d be right to think that that’s a lot of shot for one little hull to contain, but because this is cubic Hex Shot it’s able to pack very closely together. Because of its shape, this shot is able to positively smash airborne waterfowl out of the air — those edges create tremendous trauma upon impact. This shot is made of steel, so you may implement it around wetlands without concern for its environmental impact, and the shell’s exceedingly zippy 1,300 fps muzzle velocity nicely compensates for steel’s relatively low density.
rThis shell is even further optimized for use in wetlands thanks to its Drylok Super Steel System, which prevents the infiltration of moisture from rendering its propellant inert. This shell is further outfitted with a diamond cut wad that complements its Hex Shot’s performance to produce a kill zone up to 25 percent wider than what traditional loads have accustomed you to.
