This 20 Gauge shotshell is from Federal’s Prairie Storm line of ammunition, and is laden with features that make it one of the best upland hunting loads on the market. This shell’s 1 1/4 ounces of #6 shot are split up among two types: 70 percent copper plated pellets, and 30 percent nickel plated FliteStopper pellets. The latter pellet has a sharp cutting edge around its middle, enabling it to slice through plumage and deliver positively devastating effects within a bird or rabbit.
rThis shell’s unique shot load is complemented by its FliteControl wad, which has a rear-braking design that ensures a both dense and consistent pattern for ensnaring game in. The shell’s propellant is specially formulated to produce a fast 1,300 fps muzzle velocity.
