Description
This 20 Gauge shotshell by Aguila of Mexico is loaded with #2 buckshot – not regular #2 shot like you might use for duck hunting. #2 buck is unusual, so you’re perfectly forgiven if you’re not already familiar with it. A #2 buck pellet is 0.27†in diameter and weighs approximately 29.4 grains. Compare that to the more common 00 buck pellet, which is 0.33†in diameter and weighs 53.8 grains, and you’ll have a good idea of just how much smaller #2 buck is!
rWhat is #2 buck good for? Lots of things! This round’s 15 hard lead beads will devastate a buck at close range, and they won’t do any favors to any critters you don’t want creeping around your property either.
rIf you prefer the 20 Gauge shotgun’s lighter recoil for home defense, then this shell’s smaller buckshot is great for so important a job. Such a thick spread is inclined to produce more wound channels in the threat, and because a smaller pellet retains less momentum it is also less likely to jeopardize innocent bystanders by passing completely through the target!
