This 12 Gauge shotshell from Winchester’s Blind Side line of ammunition is loaded with 1 3/8 ounces of #2 steel shot, which is a good size for duck and goose alike. This isn’t the spherical shot that you’re accustomed to, though — it’s uniquely cubic Hex Shot. Hex Shot’s shape enables it to stack closely together, so this shell holds a great deal more shot than an average one could. A Hex Shot pellet’s twelve edges let it easily slice through waterfowl’s thick feathers. Any duck that takes a belly full of Hex Shot will have quacked its last quack.
rThis shell’s diamond cut wad is engineered specifically to complement its shot’s distinctive shape, providing a consistent kill zone up to 25 percent wider than a traditional shell would accomplish. Winchester’s Drylok Super Steel System will protect this shell’s shot and propellant from being corrupted as the result of water infiltration, and a fast 1,400 fps muzzle velocity provides the range and punch steel needs to pull birds down from the sky.
