These Super Handicap shells from Winchester are intended to provide 12 gauge shooters with extended distance capability for long range bird hunting and skeet shooting. Each round is assembled using a moisture resistance hull, clean-igniting 209 primer, Winchester’s high energy handicap powder, and the time-tested AA wad. Winchester’s AA wad uses a crushing center column, an obturating powder bottom, and a petaled protective top to soften recoil, produce superb muzzle velocity, and and protect shot pellets from flat-spotting.

These 2-3/4 inch length shotshells are optimized for use in top tier fowling pieces and come loaded with 1-1/8 ounces of #8 shot. The lead shot pellets undergo a hardening process which helps maintain the round shape while reducing the chance of erratic fliers breaking away from the pattern. Winchester’s Super Handicap shells are not only nice for cementing confidence in new shooters but for securing success with hunting grouse, quail, and other upland birds.
