rThis shell’s full-length wad prevents contact between the barrel and the hard, deformation-proof #2 shot that it cradles. Those shot pellets are made of steel, not lead. That makes them completely nontoxic and wetland-safe. It also makes them less dense than equivalent lead pellets – but Fiocchi compensates for steel’s lower density by loading this 3†shell to a stout muzzle velocity of 1,550 fps.
rFiocchi’s consistent powder charges, uniformly round shot and effective wads all promote tighter pattern density. Fiocchi goes one step further by plating their shot with corrosion resistant zinc, which keeps steel pellets smoother so they can fly in a straighter line. It’s all about sinking as much #2 into your bird as possible!
