rThis shell is loaded with 1-1/2 ounces of BBB steel shot – but its shot column is actually comprised of two different types of shot pellets. Sixty percent of the shot is Federal’s own Premium steel. These pellets are uniformly spherical and especially effective once they have achieved a brisk muzzle velocity of 1,500 fps. The remaining 40% of the shot is Federal’s groundbreaking FliteStopper pellets. These possess ovalar profiles, as well as raised cutting edges around their meridians. FliteStopper pellets slice through feathers and proceed to gouge very deep and debilitating wound channels into their target.
rA Black Cloud FS Steel shell features Federal’s FliteControl Flex wad, which extends multiple fins around its base to promote better stability, a tighter and more efficient pattern, and a longer effective range. This ammunition further features corrosion resistant nickel-plated steel heads, sealed crimps, and clean-burning powder which produces consistent results in hot and cold weather alike.
