Each 3-inch 12 gauge shotshell is loaded with 1 ⅜ ounces of hex shaped #3 steel shot. The unique hexagonal shape of these pellets improves packing density, allowing gap-free stacking in the shot cup. Tighter stacking allows for more pellets while saving space for bigger powder charges. Hex shot’s sharp edges also cut through feathers to deliver deep penetration, focused energy transfer, and massive tissue damage.

With a bigger powder charge, these loads produce a blistering muzzle velocity of 1400 feet per second. Another exclusive feature is Winchester’s Diamond-cut wad. These unique wads are engineered to manage shot density and improve accuracy while stretching the “kill zone†up to 25 percent. A hinged wad column also increases velocity while reducing perceived recoil, allowing faster shot recovery and more accurate follow-up shots.
