Description
You would love to get your hands on some of that Black Hills Mk 262 5.56×45 ammo – but you wouldn’t necessarily love to pay for it. Isn’t there any more affordable alternative available to shooters who want match-accurate 5.56?
r
There is. It’s made by American Quality Ammunition of Montana. And although it’s not quite on par with Black Hills’ best, it offers a truly satisfactory option for when you’re only interested in poking long-distance holes.
rThis cartridge’s bullet is what we in the industry occasionally refer to as a “big ‘un.†At 77 grains, it’s massive enough to drink up wind interference without budging very far off course. But that bullet isn’t just a big ‘un. It is also a Hornady open tip match: the ultimate target shooting bullet, which preserves its balance and its velocity with brilliant reliability. For best accuracy with a heavy bullet, a barrel with a twist rate of 1:8 or faster is recommended. This round has a muzzle velocity of 2650 FPS.
rAmerican Quality gets the most value out of Hornady’s fine bullets by loading them with American-made high-quality components, including reloadable brass.
