Lead-free 410 Bore ammunition! Well, in all fairness there is a little lead styphnate in this Winchester Super-X shotshell’s primer, but its solid steel shot is 100% nontoxic and compliant with certain jurisdictions bans’ on lead projectiles!
rThis shell stores a lightweight 3/8 ounce column of #6 shot. Steel isn’t as dense as lead, and steel shot accordingly takes up more space, which is why this shell fires 118 individual pellets instead of the 154 that would be contained by a normal 3†410 Bore shell’s 11/16 ounce #6 shot column. But the steel shot pellets still retain plenty of downrange momentum thanks to the shell’s compensatory 1,400 fps muzzle velocity.
rThis round also patterns with great efficiency. Its full-length wad promotes tight patterning in addition to preserving the barrel against getting scraped up. Its Xpert Steel Shot is also corrosion resistant, which ensures the pellets will remain smooth enough to fly straight and in narrow formation.
