This 410 Bore shell from Remington’s Slugger line of ammunition features a 1/5 ounce rifled slug. While the slug’s rifling doesn’t technically stabilize its flight, it does effectively compensate for any minor irregularities it may have, and it further reduces friction in the bore to lengthen your barrel’s lifespan. This slug is made of lead, so it maintains its velocity well in flight and will warp and tumble around within your game in order to drop it in its tracks. Needless to say, hunting for a buck with a 410 Bore slug presents quite a challenge — you’ll have to creep up very close to the beast, making this a hunting ammunition for true experts. It’s not inadequate for plinking or self-defense, either.
