rHornady plugged this round’s virgin brass case up with a 90 grain eXtreme Terminal Performance jacketed hollow point projectile. Its drawn copper-alloy jacket is tapered, and its thin rim is strategically weakened by an array of precise serrations. These features enable the XTP to exhibit terminal expansion even when it penetrates a soft medium with relatively little momentum.
rThe XTP’s swaged core contains no voids or other imperfections that could have harmed its rotational stability, and Hornady is famous for the concentricity of their bullets’ jackets. The XTP performs even more reliably thanks to its jacket, which fully shields its rim. It doesn’t just harden the rim to prevent feeding jams. It also wards off deformation until the bullet has fully penetrated clothing! This ammo is noncorrosive Boxer-primed, clean-igniting, and packaged in ten boxes per case of 250 rounds.
