Inside the shotshell is a bare lead slug with a rifled out diameter that weighs in at a standard one ounce; this weight is considered adequate for hunting purposes and will deliver appropriate energy to whitetail.
rThe rifled grooves of the slug catch the inner walls of a smooth barrel in order to impart spin on the projectile while in flight. This lends great stability to the round and contributes to better accuracy.
