Description
A hunter is not some sort of intrusion to the environment. They are a part of it, which compels many to hunt for dove and quail with nontoxic shot. If you’re a steward of the environment (or planning a hunt on protected lands), then Fiocchi’s 12 Gauge ammo will fully satisfy your obligations to American wildlife.
rThis shell’s shot is made of steel. An animal might chip a tooth if they inadvertently eat a steel shot pellet, but it’s not going to die of lead poisoning. The bird you actually shoot with this shell isn’t going to fare well, however. These are #7 steel shot pellets, which are just a little bigger than the shot commonly used for dove hunting. That’s an advantage because steel is not as dense as lead, so a larger pellet has more mass and retains greater energy as the result.
rThis shell’s shot pellets are zinc-plated. That protects them against corrosion, thus keeping them smooth enough to maintain a narrower pattern downrange. You don’t have to worry about deformation when it comes to rigid steel shot pellets, and Fiocchi’s wad does even more to promote a denser pattern. That wad is also cushioned, which makes this shell’s lower 1,200 fps muzzle velocity and lighter one-ounce shot column produce even less felt recoil.
